About me

Hi! I am Miri – a creative writer, passionate reader, and outdoor enthusiast.

I write stories about travelling, historical fiction and Young Adult fiction. Throughout these genres, my creative texts usually deal with topics around mental health and female empowerment.

I have studied an MA in Creative Writing and the Writing Industries at Loughborough University. For my dissertation, I wrote parts of a Young Adult Fiction novel about two young women hiking in Scotland. 

Apart from sharing my creative stories, I also want to provide practical information on this blog. Having experienced first-hand multiple times how it is to navigate the jungle of information around trails, multiple-day hikes, the right equipment and how to get to the trails without a car, I want to share my experiences on this blog.

So far, I have mostly hiked in Finland, Norway, and Scotland. I will upload information and stories about these hikes continuously throughout the next months.
